Terms of service
This website, insightea.co, is run by Gu Shafei, a sole trader trading as InsighTea ("we", "us"). Our address is 47 Saturn Avenue, Milton Keynes, MK11 4DZ and our email is hello@insightea.co. We are not registered for VAT.
These terms apply when you buy from us. Please read them alongside our , and . If you're buying as a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.
Our tea
Our tea is grown and made by a farmers' cooperative in Wenshan Village, Yunnan, China. We describe and photograph it as accurately as we can. Because tea is a natural crop, colour, leaf shape and flavour vary slightly from harvest to harvest. This is normal and isn't a fault.
Please read the label for ingredients, origin, storage and best-before information.
Tea contains caffeine. If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication or sensitive to caffeine, check with a healthcare professional before drinking it. Brewing suggestions on our site are guidance only. Take care with hot water.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling. Delivery charges, and any other charges you have to pay, are shown at checkout before you place your order. Payment is taken when you place your order.
If a price on our site is obviously wrong, we'll tell you before dispatch. You can then pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
Your order
When you place an order, we'll email you an order confirmation. This acknowledges your order but doesn't mean we've accepted it yet. Our contract with you starts when we email you to say your order has been dispatched.
If we can't supply your order, for example because something has sold out, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
Discounts and promotions
Any discount or offer applies only as described on our site at the time you order. Only one discount code can be used per order unless we say otherwise.
Reviews
We publish all genuine reviews from customers, positive or negative. We'll only remove a review that is fake, abusive or discriminatory, unrelated to our products, or that contains someone's personal information. If we ever offer anything in return for a review, we'll say so next to that review.
By posting a review, you allow us to show it on our website and social media.
Using our website
The text, photographs, logos and design on this site belong to InsighTea or are used with permission. You can share links to our pages, but please don't copy our content for commercial use without asking us first.
Don't misuse the site, for example by attempting to break into it or disrupt it.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it's obvious it would happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you placed your order.
We supply our tea for personal and household use only. We're not responsible for business losses, such as lost profit.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. That includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breach of your legal rights as a consumer.
Events outside our control
If something outside our reasonable control delays your order, such as a carrier strike or severe weather, we'll tell you as soon as we can. If the delay is likely to be significant, you can cancel and receive a full refund.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms in force when you place an order are the ones that apply to that order.
Law and courts
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
If you live in another country, you keep any protections given to you by the mandatory consumer law of that country.
